Downtown Haze
Lots of summer activities the past few days + my hub had the camera. He took some wonderful pictures of Mono Lake and Tuolumne Meadows on a recent trip that I can't wait to paint. This is a familiar scene of downtown Sacramento draped in a veil of summer smog. I enjoyed painting a cityscape for a change. It was challenging to render the buildings but not get caught up in the details (windows, wires, etc.). I'm very happy with the finished look.

James is about to leave for a 17-day hike on the John Muir trail, some of which goes through Tuolumne, I believe. Beautiful. love it there.
