This was my third version of this scene. Sometimes I like to make things hard for myself. Imagine that--an artist hyper-critical and emotional? The fun thing about painting with watercolor is you have the ability to rip it up in a good hissy fit.

The yellow is so STRIKING. It almost startles, but still looks natural not garish.
