I ordered some small wood pieces from here to experiment with painting tiny scenes and making them into magnets or pin backs for upcoming shows. I lightly gessoed the front and sides and named/signed them on the back.

Amazing what you're doing in such a tiny space there. These made me think of the old View-Master stereoscope (don't know if you remember those devices - you can see it on wikipedia here: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/View-Master). It was a like a tiny screen that gave you a really big view of something. Magical.
